livejournal is just not my cup of tea anymore. but i'm getting back into blogging @ screwthisoneupright.blogspot.com if you'd like to read.
this post is just to keep track of quotes/lyrics that i enjoy a great amount (it will end up being a novel by the time i'm done - i'm going to keep coming back and editing it.) :)

Day 12: Whatever tickles my fancy

i'm in a really crappy mood and i have a lot of homework to catch up on because i've been djshfjkasd lately and ignoring it all. so here's this.

my hair's healthy enough to do it, i just need to get better bleach (or more) than i had last time, and order the dye online. i can't wait to dye it that color.

Day 10: A photo of me taken over ten years ago
you get two, because i'm adorable :)

taken 1999, in my grandpa's old house's basement. check the awesome phone on the ping pong table. that kid is kyle, he's my mom's best friend's son. i've known him all my life (he's a yearish older than me- he turned 17 on 12/31, i'll be 16 on 3/30.) i was five then :)

Day 7: A photo that makes me happy

it reminds me of the best time i had all summer. i was with my best friends. it was a great, great night, filled with a birthday party and a "sleep"over at a really small teen-friendly club. we snuck out of the place, walked around, got pizza and coffee. climbed trees and sat in the streets at midnight. danced around the huge parking lot to nothing personal at 3 in the morning. we were deliriously playing basketball and we never got over the fact that the sky was blood red. we never slept, and that's what the sky looked like when we were coming home. it was just awesome, and i can't wait for next summer.

Day 6: My biggest pet peeve

oh berjeeez. i don't even know. while i can be annoyed by practically EVERYTHING, i'm also very tolerant of it all. it's honestly just the kind of mood that i'm in. so, like, stupid/ignorant people piss me off a lot. but if i'm happy, they just make me laugh. kind of like that. so i guess the thing that probably annoys me the MOST out of ANYTHING is when people lie to me. that is THE worst thing you can do to me. growing up with adults more than children i've learned how to read people very well and i'm a great lie detector. it's something that i've always been good at. i just know when people are lying to me and it bothers me A LOT. plus, i almost always find out when people lie to me. of course i can't say that there's been a time where someone lied to me and i didn't find out, because i wouldn't know, but i do find out when people lie to me. it's just jkdshfjhajdkf. it bothers me a lot. i prefer people to tell me the truth and hurt my feelings than lie to me. i really just hate it. a lot. haha.

 Day 5: My favorite quote
hmph. well, i'm not gonna use any song lyrics, because they're like the script to my life. and it would be way too fucking hard to choose just one out of the thousands of songs and hundreds of bands that i love. also, i know i'm totally lame for pretty much loving everything pete wentz says but... that's just too bad.

so. favorite:

"just because today is a terrible day, doesn't mean tomorrow might not be the best day of your entire life. you just have to wake up and get there."

i've loved this quote since i heard it in... i don't know. 06? i just love it a lot, and that's that.

honorable mentions (don't make fun of me):
"get a spark in that head of yours and don't let anyone blow it out." (also my journal title)
"he said i belong locked up in a hospital somewhere so i'll forget who i am. joke's on him. i never really knew who i was."
"when i die please make me a legend, so i don't have to come back and try again."
"a secondhand account of stories that never happened. and the good times were never quite as good as we remember."
"i miss the days when we spent every day together. my head has been delayed. there is dust on the times i love."

poop. i actually remembered to update the past two days, i've just been bed-ridden, terribly sick. kinda sorta maybe better now, but whatever. i have to go to school tomorrow no matter what, since i'm skipping friday to go see my best fraaaaans. blah. i can't wait to move away from this city and all the people with their drama...

Day 4: My favorite book

this is really hard too :( i've read so many books. i love reading like no other. i'm gonna have to go wiiiiiiiithhhhh...

harry potter and the order of the phoenix. (or the entire HP series, which is amazing)
this and POA are my favvvvvorite harry potter books. i don't really know why, i just love them the most. OOTP i think because of the luna and the snape and the lupin and of course, sirius</3. unlike a lot of people i know, i do absolutely adore DH and loved how it ended, but i feel as if i can't choose that as my favorite. ahh. i can't wait to read the books again.

anyway. honorable mentions: perks of being a wallflower (yes, cliché, i know), the burn journals, hairstyles of the damned, rant (by chuck p. also very hipster-like, but i actually love this book a ton), fight club.

Day 3: My favorite television program

this is also a three way tie, hahaha. i'm very indecisive, if you can't tell.

svu

sopranos

house

so. svu: i've been watching this show since i was six or seven years old. i've always been really good at being detective-like~ and this show just fed my interests so much when i was a kid, especially because i felt smart for knowing about practically everything when i was that young (honestly, i probably shouldn't have known about rape and the like, but i did). my goal in life used to be becoming a police detective. then i grew up and started trusting cops less and dislking them more. i no longer want to be a detective, but i still love this show, even with how cheesy it's gotten.

sopranos: i spent almost my entire summer of 08 (the last month was dedicated strictly to CFOB) renting the season dvds of the sopranos from netflix. i'd literally watch six or seven episodes in a row. i remember the first episode i watched with my mom and stepdad out in the living room, and we all had glasses of wine. we spent the first few episodes like that, and then i holed up in my room and watched the entire series. i've always had a silly thing with mafia/mobs, and especially after learning that i'm like 194435% italian (actually like 25%), it just made me more interested. i also watched goodfellas and some other mafia movie this summer. to this day i still fucking love the sopranos. i haven't watched an episode in over a year, but i def would love to re-rent the series. ha.

house: i don't even remember the first episode of house i ever watched was. but i think at some point there was a marathon on usa (surprise there - i watched a lot of monk and svu at the time so that's probably how i got caught up in it). i'm pretty sure i started getting into it at the end of the summer 08, and i started watching episodes online during the first few months of freshman year. anyway, i love this show why everyone else loves this show. house is so amazingly cynical and sarcastic and amazing. i dunno. i'm also really interested in (and have been since i was little, thanks to my dad formerly being a part time nurse) being a doctor, and this was this sparked the interest into a brightly lit flame. i've been a lot more into science and doctor-ism lately, and i'm starting to look into school and stuff like that for it. blahblahblah. point is, i love this show a ton. i've seen every episode except for most of the ones from the current season. chase = nomnom. haha.
